Wiring of Woodpecker boiler

    Hi all,

There is a 4 wire cable out of the woodpecker boiler. An earth, neutral, and 2 more - a brown and a black. The manual only refers to a standard 3 wire supply.

Is one a permanent live and the other a switched live?
If so does anyone know which is which.

I've email Gerkros, but no response as yet.

    Thanks in advance

    Pat

Black is normally a permanent feed, brown switched. When the switched live is switched off, the permanent feed keeps the boiler running for a few seconds to stop pressure building up in it.

You can always check the boiler manual or open up where the connections at the boiler are to be sure.
