Sorry if this is in the wrong area but how do I clean the screen on my laptop without damaging it? Thanks :D

Yep.. this is always something i've been wondering about too. I could never get a straight answer off people - some people say alcohol wipes or baby wipes and other say the oily texture will damage the screen.

I got this "space cloth" type thing in PC World which is a very soft cloth guaranteed to not scratch your laptop screen... it doesn't... but it doesn't clean it too well either.

i use glasses lint-free cloth. the only damn thing is does is redistribute the dust around.

use any dry or slightly dampened cloth...
never use anything alcohol or oil based as the material of the lcd will erode

I've tried that on m latop but I find that the dust just get pushed to the edges of the laptop.

My sister was using my laptop for the last few days and now her greasy pawprints are all over the screen  wiping with a cloth doesn't seem to do anything, how should I clean it?

Hi, U can pick up wipes, or a pack of spray + wipes in somewhere like PC world especially for this.... u can also use them on your tv too, i got a pack recently and they are working a treat

Lay it flat on a driveway and use one of those industrial floor buffer machines*. :)

Apart from that those 3M screen cleaners do the trick for me, or sometimes the cleaning cloth that came with my glasses if I am stuck.

    *do not do this!
