MP3 player for 9yr old son for Christmas

    Hi

    My 9 year old son wants an MP3 player for Christmas, ideally one with a 'colour' screen. I am very slow to buy an iPod or iPod nano for him, a) because of the cost, and b) I can't see it lasting very long in the hands of a 9 year old.

    I see a lot of generic MP3/MP4 players with colour screens on eBay, selling for €30-50, but I don't know if these are reliable.

    Does anyone have any suggestions for me - ideally, I'd prefer to buy something locally in Ireland than buy online.

    2GB is ample for his requirements.
