    Approaching 9 weeks now of major slowdown at peak times for me and my neighbours.
    Well over 25 support calls logged,numerous promises that a tech guy will ring me and still nothing.:mad:

    Pings are allover the place :(
    I really dont know what to do next.

    i get the same with ntl from morning to about 4-5 in the afternoon i get a nice 50ms or so when 6 o'clock arrives till about 10 at night i get about 200ms
    this is from pinging google,

    so not just eircom as a whole ireland seems to have crappy latency in alot of areas,
    how the hell do i see some people get 20 or lower pings damn i wish i had there isp :(

    I haven't been seeing any of this on Smart, despite the free 3 meg upgrade everyone got.

    to be honest, if you have a resonable line and are in an area with reltaively modern construction / layout, such as having the telephone lines from your exchange under ground as opposed to traversing poles lol, then smart and magnet are a very good deal with a good stable service.

    now there will be some bad connections and experiences with even them but if you compared the average on them with the average on the likes of eircom and resellers, id imagine the price to average megabit ratio would be far better :-)
