    Hi

I got a deal with a company in Thailand, to exclusive sell their products in Ireland, as an agent.

This will mean me exporting from Thailand and Important into Ireland.

It is just really a side line business and will not be massive amounts of goods.

Its actually boxing gear and martial arts gear, which is exlusive to Thailand.

Whats my best step to find out what sort of duties or tariffs the customs would charge me on sending the gear into Ireland?

    Thanks

there is an international coding system for tariffs so try to code your products and then contact customs.

Clothing attracts 12% duty or 15%.

Footwear is generally between 3% and 17% depending on the material in the shoe.

VAT is charged on that (item+duty) price and thats 21% again , you may or may not be liable.

here is an example, materials used are very important you will note !!!
