Canon SD800 / IXUS 850

I've pretty much settled on the Canon Ixus 850 IS. I'm off to America soon and was thinking about buying it there - my only concern is the battery charger. Will a bog standard adapter do the trick or will I end up spending a fortune getting a new power supply or the charger?

    Thanks

the charger is multi voltage if you buy it here, some u.s canon models only come with a 110v charger so when you get home it won't work!
also you've no warranty over here for a u.s canon thats why it's called the ixus here and they use sd/elph etc so they can tell were you got it,
    buy it here i'd say
