TV on ebay from the states...

    If I buy a tv on ebay from the states will it work here? If not can it be configured or something? Also whats the story with tax on it? It costs $299.

    The US use a completely different TV system (NTSC) than here, so the simple and shoet answer is no, although there may be ways to make it work, you might as well buy a nice, new TV here for the price you would end up paying.

    not worth the effort to try and convert it anyways. expensive and a *lot* of hassle.

    Will be ntsc, probably no scart sockets. Different type of tuner and power requirements. Not worth the bother.
