My father bought that printer today too. His display is also in a foreign language. I thought it was German, but maybe it is Dutch. I didn't see anything about changing it after a quick flick through the manual. Didn't get a thorough look yet.

Picked the speakers up today. No problem with them. Presume you've plugged them in the headphone socket on your laptop? If so plug in an set of headphones and see do they work. If not its probably a windows setting. Check your volume settings to make sure the headphone one is not set to mute.

Will check out the printer later. Have to set it up for a mate later tonight.

I found the language setting on page 99 of the manual. It's the only thing on the page. However, I can't seem to get it to work. It says to turn on the printer, then hold both the power and cancel buttons for 5 seconds for the language menu to appear. All this does for me is turn the printer off again. No sign of any language menu.

Had a look on Lexmark's website and in the support section, I found a page explaining that the manual is wrong

    Here are the real instructions
The User's Guide for the X3350 contains the wrong instructions for changing the language on the LCD display. The correct way to reset the language is as follows:

    1. Power off the printer.
    2. Hold down the power and + buttons simultaneously for five seconds. This will clear the language setting.
    3. The first prompt you will see is English. If this is not the language required, toggle the + and - buttons to navigate to your preferred language.
    4. Press the arrow button to select that language. The printer will save the new language setting.
I have tried it and it works.
