    hey,

    i heard someone saying recently that they had Tivo but i thought it wasnt available in Ireland. is it available?

    I have an NTL box but apparently SKY offer some service similar to Tivo?

    If anyone could help me i would greatly appreciate it.

    It used to be available offically in the UK but was stopped. Thomson stopped making units for the UK market. Thomson also makes boxes for sky+.
    You can get some tivo boxes online from UK sites some of them secondhand from most places. Grand system but the boxes are massive in size :)

    Sky have their Sky+ system that works well with their screen guide and is the easiest system to use and to setup.

    NTL (now UPC) are stating that they are due to bring out a PVR in the first half of 2007.
    That however may not be definite.
