Okay, so here is the problem. On my computer, when it starts up it takes a while loadin all the crap that all the time starts up at startup. Anyways, this along with my stupidity in downloading hotbar and other stuff has slowed the computer and probably the internet down.
My plan is to start off again by formatting and installing windows again. And to the question...Is there an easier way? I am sick of stupid antispyware programs that can tell me brilliantly all the stuff thats slowin me down but cant actually get rid of it...Is there any actually decent products out there?

Adaware, Spyboy and Windows Defender are the best imo.

Do they completely get rid of it though?

this is my super quick method

firstly uninstall any software made my norton, try to get your money back on it if you bought it lately, tell then you got BSOD after installing it

    boot in safe mode
    run msconfig
clear the load start-up items check box
    click into the serivces tab
    check the hide M$ box
clear the check box in the remaining items
    apply and re-boot

    in IE goto internet options
    advanced tab
uncheck enable third party browsers extensions

you need to make sure your xp firewall is enabled
and you'll have to re-install an antivirus try avg

    enjoy

what makes you think you need a "product" ??

    1. stay away from dodgy websites

    2. if a popup asks you a question...see item 1.

    Prevention is better than cure
    SpywareBlaster & StartupMonitor.

And as for slow startup, I put everything in a command script and let that handle everything, that way, Windows loads 1st! :)

Make sure to keep all those anti virus, anti spyware/malware programs, Windows updates mentioned up to date, they are no good otherwise. Regular scans also, schedule them to start at a certain time.

Just download it and get the serial/crack by searching google

    I wouldn't suggest that.
