XBOX 360 - Wireless networking question.

    Hi,

I am getting an Xbox 360 after Christmas (just missed out on the Tesco offer today) and I have a question I was hoping somebody here could answer for me.

To set the Xbox to connect to a wireless broadband connection in the home do you need to purchase the official Xbox wireless adaptor? Or would a regular Belkin USB wireless network adapter work?

I use this Belkin adapter with my older PC and was hoping to use this rather than splash out on the official add-on.

    Thanks.

Well i use a Netgear wireless gaming bridge without any problems and it was cheaper than the xbox one. Hope this helps you

I would think it similar to the original xbox, you could use other wireless adapters.
I use a linksys wrt54g with my original xbox, works fine.

Have a look at some of the other offers that are available. I think they are in the xtravision thread. Some really good ones around at the minute
