laptop touchpad problem

hi folks
im having trouble with the touchpad on my mates laptop, think ive inadvertantly broken it on him:o

anyway when i run my finger over it it still moves the arrow arond the page but is unresponsive when tapped so i have to use the ol' left click option. anyone else have this happen or any advice on what to do

Can you give more info please as to the model and make of laptop (Apple, Toshiba, Sony etc.)?

You might simply have inadvertently turned off the "tap with 2 fingers for right click" option.

Depending on what brand you're using (Apple or Windows based laptop) you should be able to change the settings through the control panel or system preferences.

That's my suggestion anyway.

yup the control panel did it. no idea how i turned it off in the first place!
