American DS lite wont play Irish games ?

    A friend is in New York at the mo and has just bought an American DS.
    When she tried her Irish Brain Training in it it wont work.ie the game wont play.


    I have an American DS lite, an Irish DS Lite and an Irish DS and i have never had an issue with regionality in any off them can anybody help .

    I was the one to suggest she bought the DS in AAmerica so would like to get an answer for her

    If anybody can help me out on this i would appreciate it

    There should be no problem playing Irish games on a US DS Lite. One thing I've noticed with my Lite with games, regardless of where they're from, is that it will sometimes say there's no game inserted, or freeze on the start-up screen. Taking the game out and checking for dust usually does the trick, but it can be a persistent bugger.

    Thanks she got it sorted in the end although she refused to say exactly how she solved the problem.

    I gather it was either dust on the game conectors or forgetting to swwitch the bloody thing on after she had put the Irish game in it:rolleyes:
