    Folks,

I have had problems with my hip for 3 years now, on and off! After training for several marathons and other long distance races, I have only found physios who solve the problem but not the cause and it keeps returning. I am looking for a Physio in the Dublin/Kildare area who has running experience. Someone who will check my gait/core muscles...recommend a programme etc. Someone who might find the source of my hip injury. Any recommendation are welcome!

You should also try a chiropractor. I had a problem with my hip from running and not stretching properly for months and the chiropractor had it sorted in a very short space of time. I haven't had problems since.

Can't recommend Roberto Pelosi highly enough - his practice is called Premier Physiotherapy in Ballinteer.

He regularly runs marathons / half-iron mans, so he's from a running background, if he can't sort you he'll point you in the right direction.

Plus he's not a rip-off merchant like some physios - his sessions at 45 euro are for an hour, maybe the 1st half hour consultation and the 2nd half doing exercises

    Thanks folks,

Celebral.....can you recommend any chiropractor? I'm pretty sure my problem is ITBS related and think my glute/core muscles are just not strong enough to support it. But I might just give the chiropractor a go.

Well the one I go to is in galway city as thats where I live. His name is Shaun Toner and his practice is called city chiropractic. I found him really good and his very easy to talk to and get feedback on. The only thing is he is based in galway city which might be a bit out of the way for you. Maybe he could refer you to someone good in the east.
