    are these easy/ cheap to replace? .. its an advent not sure which model cost 750e... i may just buy a new one if its to much hassle to get fixed or price etc... tx for replies in advance.

    I would say no to the cheap/easy question. Getting in contact with the advent custumer service dept. they might give you an estimate for the repair. You could look on ebay see if you can get the part and do a diy job, but you'll probably still be spending a fair amount of money. How old is the laptop, is it still worth 750e?

    not anymore lol...bought it in april 06.. ill try get a few quotes and see what happens. tx...if its over 150 ill just a new one :D

    If you are getting someone else to do the work, theres not a hope in hell of it being less than 150. 250 I would say is the minimum.

    Generally they are pretty easy to replace, however. If you are up to it, the best thing to do is remove the screen and search the make and model of the screen iteself on ebay.
