I was looking to see if people agreed with my selections and if not can give me reasons why these are unlikely to win and their selection please. Your tips have been wonderful so far and have actually won a bit of money.

    Supreme Novices: Kicks for Free
    Arkle: Fair Along
    Champion Hurdle: Detroit City
    Ballyproperty Novice Hurdle: Aran Concerto
    Royal and Sun Chase: Denman
    Queen Mother Chase: Well Chief
    Bumper: Digital Media
    World Hurdle: Black Jack Ketchum
    Gold Cup: Kauto Star
    Triumph: Katchit

Katchit wont win the tirumph. Classier animals will emerge through the season and the triumph is about the most volatile ante post market that you could select. Leave it alone until January at the earliest.

All each way, seen as these are both around 20/1

Is it fairly definite that Aran Concerto is going in the Ballymore and not the Royal and Sun Alliance, yeah??

Supreme: Kicks for free is a decent animal but I've been massively impressed with Clopf, looked a superstar last time out, jumps and travels well.Kanpai has racked up a long sequence including slamming massini's maguire who went on to win a very hot novice at the november meeting next time out.

Arkle: Fair along really impressed me at cheltenham last time out but his what will be then a 5yr old allowance will be down to 5lbs. My way the solzen jumped really well first time out and this looks like a clash to savour in march.

Champion Hurdle: Possibly the race of the year. I like iktataf and macs joy and am against straw bear and brave ince. As for detroit he beat nothing in the greatwood running off only a mark of 148. People forget this, does anyone thing the first half dozen in the champion betting couldn't win a handicap as impressively off such a lowly mark?

Ballymore properties: Aran concerto has impressed me greatly but the only worry is that he may need 3m and fences ala denman last year. Catch me has done nothing wrong and I'm sure a few more contender will emerge over the coming months.

RSA chase: I'm against denman in this as he's looked anything but straight forward so far. Mossbank is a serious animal but one I was waiting for was snow tern who there's no sign of yet.

Champion Chase: I have a nice free bet on newmill to win a couple of ton thanks to betfair and he is most certainly the one to beat at the moment. Didn't get the credit he deserved last year. If well chief comes back fit and well it'll be a great clash. Voy por has the 6yo stat to overcome and I'm still not sure of last yr's arkle form, we'll find out more tomorrow.

Stayers Hurdle: Inglis Drever looks like he could come back as good a horse as he was in 2005, he the value over BJK. BJK beat very little impressively last yr and must rate the worst ante post value by some way at 7/4ish. He's also 7 and might not have too muuch improvement in him. If asian maze runs here rather than the champion she'll give them both a race but after her run at punchestown I think its the 2m race all the way.

Ryanair Chase: Unfortunately my old pal Fondmrt won't be running this yr. Apparently Monets Garden is 2/1 favourite with cashmans fro this race, which is the funniest thing I've heard in a while. I can see this race cutting up badly and wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Triumph: Leave well alone!!!! PS whoever's backing mountain needs their head examined.

Gold Cup: I'm against Kauto Star in this one and War of attrition is far better value at 11/2ish on betfair. If kicking king can come back near his best its potentially another great race in store.

    Ha! :D That explains alot...

I had backed him antepost on Betfair in the "Royal and Sun Alliance" so when I saw that he was now going in the "Ballymore" I thought "Sh*te..."

Yet, when I logged into Betfair to check i Saw that I had in fact backed him in the Ballymore and said to myself: "Jesus, I coulda swore I took him in the Royal...."

Anyhoo - no harm done! :) Thanks for clearing it up...

imo I don't know why anyone would be backing short priced favs (which u have a few of here) for a race in 3 1/2 months time? with the likes of kauto star/bjk/detriot city i can't see their prices shortening much in the interim. add to that injury possiblities etc it's just bad value

i have not backed them yet, i was saying these are my selections at the moment, and was asking if anyone had spotted something that i had not.
