    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone here has one? This is the current object of my affections. I was looking at the Sigma 70-200 f2.8, but this suits better as it has a bigger reach and is physically smaller (and I don't want the Canon version either due to it's whiteness).

Reviews are good but was hoping for some 'real people' opinions. Will be getting this with the proceeds of the sale of my 300D hopefully early in the new year.

    Thanks

there is a reason for its whiteness - it doesn't heat that much when used outdoors on sunny days.

Greysoul uses one, as does 440Hz, Afaik, both like theirs muchly.

I was in the same position myself a while back and took the plunge. It’s a great lens, IS is a bit nosier than my other lenses. It all depends on what you want it for, it’s ok for wildlife but as always, I’d love to get closer.

300mm seems so long but then when you have it, your like …….so 800mm :p ?? But outside that very sharp, not super in low light but brilliant focal range. Defiantly a good addition to any lens set.
