    ok, bear with me here...

    1. tag suggested an invite only game in DIT, a 25 freezeout or something.
    2. i like the idea of HORSE.
    3. i want a long game of somesort.
    4. i like to get my gamble on...

    so...

is there any interest in a €30-€50 euro... winner takes all, no deals aloud HORSE event. even limit it to a SNG (not sure how well this will work with stud games). 10k starting chips, all levels included 30min clock. if we get 8 (one table) or 16 (2 tables) there would be a nice pay day for someone who has to play very well across disciplines.

This is something i just thought of 6 minutes ago so by all means suggest modifications.

i'll even sweeten the deal by giving every entrant a free DIT POKER HOODY.

Well seeing as I won today I already got a blue one..... but I'd also like a white one if there is one to spare. The blue is quite blue alright :) I've been told the white look quite spiffking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 441 ✭✭boba_fett3099

I will defo take everyones money in this tourny! 50 sounds good;) ...Seriously though this is a great idea as long as you get a competent dealer who can deal stud games well as self deal will be a nightmare...Maybe charge e5 reg to pay the dealer??

i think flushdraw would be the least of your worries with re: to your chances of winning the tournament! (no slight on FD) i think you catch the drift, your a rock robert!

Sounds like a day out for sick degenerates.

    Can I play....?

ok, there is clearly interest amongst all of us gambly types. i'm pretty sure the max players at a table for a stud game is 7 (7 card hand * 7 players, 49 cards of a 52 card deck?) so we'd have to limit this to 7, 14 or 21 players. if its just 7, winner takes all, if its 14, maybe give 2 buys 2 2nd as consolation of some sort.

As to when and where and how much? I think 50 is max and 30 min to keep people willing to play for ages, any suggestions here? where, maybe if we make it 50+5 and took over a table some night in the jackpot or the fitz or the SE... i can ask in the jackpot, can anyone ask elsewhere? thats only if we need a dealer? could this be self deal? obviously if we have 2 tables we'd need 2 dealers etc...

Defo should have dealers. Even if there are 11 or 12 players we can have two tables of 5 or 6.

I'll send a PM to zsoulking now to ask about Sporting, and will send Luke a text to ask about Fitz.

Pokerstars have 8 to a table for HORSE - in Stud games, it's unlikely that everyone will get to 7th Street but if that happens there's a communal card put in middle, I believe.

I have no idea how to play most of the games in horse so I would loosen up no end, ignorance is bliss!

I'd definitely be up for this! Because of work I've played the Monday night Trinity game three times this year and haven't got to play the DIT game at all! So I figure playing a HORSE game makes up for that!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

    Word of warning Ste.

We couldn't play it in the S.E. as some of us are not twenty one yet. Or is this just a cunning plan to make sure the biggest threat shall not be able to play.............

And by biggest threat I mean fiddler.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,860 ✭✭✭ditpoker

was just typing that and luke beat me to it! i'd suggest jackpot or the fitz. i'd like to get 2 tables for this. we could run it in DIT but it would be self deal and it would have to end at 9pm. and start early which wont suit most.
maybe friday the 15th or sat 16th of Dec?

    Hi guys,

Why not put the winner of this into one of the Mega Satellites for The IPC. At these Saellites on the 4th Jan and 5th Jan (12 noon) 1 in 5 players will gain their seat in The IPC. The value of these tickets are €300+€30.

1 in 5 is a realistic number to beat.

    If your interested contact me

    Regards

    Stephen

i'm heading into the jackpot tonight and will ask about this. I'm thinking Sunday 17th of Dec. Jackpot opens at 8pm on a sunday so i'd suggest starting as close to 8pm as possible if they are up for running this for us.

What i'd propose is limiting it to 16 players, 2 tables. 50 euro buy in, prize pool would be 800. First 600, 2nd 150, 3rd 50.

    so far interested are:
    1. ditpoker (me)
    2. carfax
    3. trippie
    4. goodluck2me
    5. shoutman
    6. fiddlesticks
    7. cooker3
    8. rag2gar
    9. boba_fett
    10. Flushdraw
    11. phantom_lord
    12. Mellor
    13. aodea
    14. Rob27
    15. DitTAG
    16. Felix_ridgardo

does this date and time suit all of you? as is you are the MAGIC 16! if you cant play that day post here. We may have to go to a 3rd table. this will probably be 50+5. I want the payout to be very top heavy for some reason, not sure why.

Ok, so thats what i'm presenting to the jackpot tonight. I'll get back to you with their reply.
