Went to Rome in Febuary this year with my g/f. Had a great time, we saw nearly all there was to see in four days (but it did need alot of energy and planning).

We lucked out with the hotel also, booked it on ebookers main problem being there were too many hotels to choose from lots outside the city and lots inside.....INSIDE THE CITY IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO!!!!! Anyhoo the hotel was top of the range 4* minimum, price was 100euros a night a sizable room with queensize bed (tbh we thought we'd been undercharged for the hotel).

Was in a perfect location also, a 20min walk to all the sights. We only needed to get a taxi to and from the airport.

Overall the sights we saw were awe inspiring (notably the vatican and the cistine chapel), very pricey city and very ignorent ppl but I forgive them for it with the constant invasion of tourists!

If ya want the name of the hotel I will dig it out for ya as If ya could get it for the kind of money we paid you would be a happy camper!
