Don't no if anyone has any special ways of trying to gain wait, I have tried several different ways but to no avail at this stage I am beggining to get frustrated, before anyone asks I am eating 5 meals a day and lifting weights. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I personally am sick and tired of all the advice available to people for losing weight but very very little on succesfully and safely gaining wait, unless your asked to subscribe to superweight gain e.t.c.

Thanks for the quick response lads, I will admit that for a good few years diet never bothered me but for the last year I have watched what I am eating, but this has only served to make me loose even more weight, I did use a protein drink with creatine during the summer which helped me put on 5kg's but as you need to drink a litre of milk with this a day I would not think that it would be good to use this all the time so as soon as I stopped using it all my gains were gone.
I am aprox 55kg's constantly, 5ft 9, male and lean.
My daily meals would consist of
    wake up- apple
breakfast- porridge or musli and brown soda bread with honey + bannana.
Dinner- Pasta or a meat dish with potatoes. + cream cake.
afternoon- pack of crisps and chocolate bar.
    Tea- sandwich/tuna bake or pasta.
bed time snack boal of cereal.
I would also drink about 8 cups of tea per day and a few glasses of water.
I would also have maybe one chinese a week.
Hope this is enough info, one more point I would like to make is that I can pig out for a couple of weeks then my body says you are full enough so i can only eat small meals.

At 55 kgs( 121 ) pounds, i would recommend about 2100 calories a day!!! Thats you eating 17 calroies per pound of mass....and to only hit 2100 is a little scary to be honest!!! Sometimes i forget how much my extra size allows me to eat!!!

Now then, i suggest you go for a daily diet plan that is has about a 40/40/20 split of proteins, carbs and fats. In time, we can them manipulate these splits to find what will suit you best. We can also add more calories should you still fail to gain any muscle mass!

(( Sorry, but i still cannot get over 2100 calories being someones MASS BUILDING calories!!!! ))

Split that out by 5 to 6 meals a day and get your food in!!!

A healthy pair of kidneys are to be desired your whole life long, so i applaud you on that one!!! I personally take about 3 shakes a day currently, and have no issues with them. I would recommend you make sure your protein shakes are not loaded up with aspartame or any other such unpleasantness though!

    Hey Spid,
While i cant offer much more info that increase the meals you eat until you see a gain. I can say that Dragan and Jsb know what they are talking about, and ive been 7stone at 5'10 myself so i know how hard it is to gain. But trust me, work at it and you will see results. Best of luck:)

I had it tested on one of those weighing scales some chemists have. Can't say how accurate it is though.

Not at all accurate - calipers only

If you can see a 6 pack then you are under or just around 10%
