If any of you use Digit Alb for your satellite viewing, this place is selling off 12 month viewing cards (full package, ie. sports, movies and XXX chans). Were e220, now going for e190 a pop. Company is based outside Drogheda, in Tullyallen. Their num is 1890 202 202.

If you have an address in the UK, you can ring up with a blocked caller ID and order one for around 25 quid sterling.

I think this guy is some cowboy trying to flog sat cards :)

    Hi ho silver, etc.

Nah, no skin off my nose if you buy em or not. I think freesat cards are a lot different than digit alb ones though.

The digitalb card is NOTHING in common with the freesat card. Digitalb is an albanian package similar to sky in that they have movie channels, sports and other themed channels. They have movies usually a few weeks before sky do. It is 100% legal, you need an 80cm dish to be pointed at eutelsat at 16east and a suitable reciever and cam.

If you have a UK address, you can call them. If calling from Ireland, make sure and block your Caller ID!

There are many resellers of these FTV/Freesat cards, like www.satone.tv for example.

Of course, Freesat from Sky and Digit Alb are not the same thing as Ronan has already pointed out.

Theres not a huge difference in the channels between freetoview and freetoair, only sky3 (repeated crap), channel 5 and film four is now in the clear too i think :)

Check out the sat forums for more info.

You can either get a second hand digibox for aroun 40 quid or a free to air box for around 99 in lidl or aldi when their out including a dish.

I told my dad he could get german stations on Astra 19.2 and he spent 3 days trying to align the dish thinking he'd get german porno stations, he did in the end ... thats perseverance for ya ! :D

You can pick these up with a pretty small dish (60cm)

And of course, bbc and all that

Hey is the dish easy to set up? I'm moving into my new apartment next summer and want to get in sat tv but dont want to pay what Sky are charging.
How would you set a dish up in an apartment block and my apartment is on the ground floor as well?
And is it cheaper and better than the Sky and NTL digital?

    Cheers!

    Great thanks!

Cheaper and better than Sky?? Get many of the prem games? Alot of games are on RTE and Setanta now so I'd be missing out on those channels if I got the foreign sat?

PIMPHO - Check your complex rules. Most don't allow satellites. You'll have to hide it someway and if you can't see the sun at 11am to midday theres no point as thats where the satellites are. Check the Satellite forum for hiding satellites. You can get RTE on an aerial inside your apartment.
