How is the government the enemy. Play have been charging us say £12 for a dvd. They also charge a uk customer £12. yet they pay the uk government 18% (iirc) vat. They are not paying the irish government vat yet they are charging us the same as the uk. So long story short we are getting charged 18% more by playbecause they are charging the inc vat price without paying vat.

well i think its terrible that they finally decided to do things like this without warning, right before christmas.

I for one ordered loads of stuff recently, and it'll end up costing me a fortune extra now.

I can't understand why people are upset at Revenue doing their job

Its really the 5euro handling fee that'll get me. Its like a tax on their tax. If they do that on an item at 22euro, you'd be paying 31.66~ all together.
