Outlook and mymail.tcd.ie

Has anyone managed to get tcd email to work with outlook.

I can get the mail to download to outlook but when it comes to sending the email, it won't work.

Do I have to mess around with the settings or do I have to contact helpddesk

I apologise if this has come up before

The pop receiving of mail is fine, but when I try to send email, I am not in luck.

Thanks for the page information, but it still doesn't work have you got the smtp to work?

smtp.tcd.ie ONLY works when inside the TCD network.
You must use your ISP's smtp server when in the big wide world i.e. smtp.ntlworld.ie

Ah, thanks for the tip. I asked this in the other thread and noone had an answer for why the smtp wouldn't work.

It's the opposite for me, works for sending but not recieving. Infact f*ck all works out here in halls, pretty annoying.
In college on the wireless however, everything magically works.
