NTL Digital cable package

This may have been covered before, although a quick search doesn't drag up the issue, so I figure I'll ask here...

I got NTL Digital TV around a year ago now; it's the basic package (no premiums like movies, sports etc.) and it has plenty of channels on it; well enough for me anyway.
My girlfriend's family recently ditched their Sky and picked up NTL, the same basic package with none of the fancy extras, but I noticed while flicking through it that it was missing certain channels that I had... namely a rake of music channels (didn't bother searching the rest of the epg, so this is the main difference I noticed).

As far as I'm aware we're both paying the same, so have NTL dropped a few channels recently to make their package more cost effective, while keeping the channels for customers who already had them (rather than having to take them off them and cause some complaints etc.)
Or is there some kind of problem with their package?
Some of the channels (off the top of my head) that they were missing and that I have were MTV2, Kerrang, Q (as I said, there may have been more in other sections that I didn't look through)

Ah... I didn't realise that and going by their site there's one NTL package, and then the premium stuff on top of that... although I knew MMDS was a bit different (but don't think they're on that)

    Cheers... satisfied my curiosity :D

    aye,
they dont say anything about it.
if you try to cancel digital thats what theyll try to talk you into getting.
same thing if your on analog and they want you to move to digtal theyll offer to switch you to that as its only a bit extra
