Magnet have given their IPTV EPG a bit of a revamp.

For starters, the time has been corrected. up until now, the timing on the programmes was an hour out of sync.

There are also more info availible on screen due to them making the print a little smaller. now the schedules for the next five channels can be seen where as before you could only see the schedule for two channels at once

I just noticed also that the annoying blue line that used be at the bottom of the TV set top box outpoot is also gone. This can be seen from a recording i did from a few weeks ago

    Hi Billy,

that looks great. Where are you based?

We have had Magnet for about 18 months in Donabate and the EPG has never been right.

It used to be one hour out and we hoped the changing of the clocks would rectify that but now it is completely useless.

Alot of the channels which they carry are sub mainstream and so it is often difficult to get listings in papers, leaving me to have to use the PSP to look things up.

A new EPG would be great.

Yeah, I'm out in Donabate too, the gallery, we got the update and it seems to be an improvement. The on demand content doesn't work but that's no surprise, Magnet have always been rubbish in my opinion. My phone hasn't worked in months and I can't be bothered reporting it......

I wonder does this upgrade change any of the problems with connecting your set top box to XP/Vista media center?

    crowdcontrol,

Im in the Gallery too. I basically called them up a while ago, complained about it, so they gave me this update about a month ago, to "test" it. Then I got post the other day to confirm that the upgrade was a blanket upgrade in the complex.

One thing I noticed, I am now missing a load of channels I had before. Like Bravo, and Living TV etc. I havent had a chance to ring them up about it.

Other than that, the EPG looks swish. Times correct, there's a slight lag when paging through results, but thats understandable.

Cant fault their internet though. I got 17.1Mb download / 13.4 upload there last week (speedtest.ie). :D
