Has anyone gone down the route of having wedding rings custom made? What was your experience like and would you recommend it?

Can any recommend a designer to do this?

Yes, and I only have positive things to say about it
Patrick Glynn on Middle Abbey St, professional, discreet, has over 30 years experience in the business, made a fantastic ring for me and my finacee.

Defo worth checking out, what I paid and what it retails for in the end amazed me - I was delighted with the whole experience.

Depends where you are.... My sister had hers made by the Cat and the Moon in Sligo. They make all the rings on site and can adapt their designs to suit you. I'm not so sure if they make one-off rings but they were really helpful to my sister and her husband. they have a website www.thecatandthemoon.com Enjoy!

We got ours in the States, so it's not going to be of much use to you. There's a guy in Georges Arcade though, near the market bar, who does some fab custom work.

i went to da capo in the design tower on grand canal quay with an engagement ring i designed myself. they made it beautifully, and i'll definitely be going back for my wedding bands. their number is 6753867. the guy I dealt with was called Shay (sp?).
