Can some of ye big cash game players say why they would opt for one ahead of the other?
Whats their advantages and disadvantages?


on a side question, is there a way to filter out unwanted cash games on Fulltilt. you can do it for the tournaments.

i am far from a big cash game player but i would put it to you that you can be more aggressive in a short handed game and if you were prone to this popular style of play you might prefer the 6 seater

Because the action is faster more gambling types are attracted to it.

For this reason and because more hands are played players have more oppertunities to make mistakes so the sharks are attracted to them.

As there are less players, people reading skills are more important. More marginal hands must be played.

9 people
Easier to play very tight and turn a profit

....basically the opposite of the 6 person points.



From the house's POV, online 6max will generate more rake as more hands are played.
Live where rake is charged per person the opposite is true + less space and man power is required for 9/10 players.
