its the last round of internationals so lets hit Paddy Power for a few bob

    My own thinking is

    Australia -7 v scotland
    wales + 20 v all blacks
    Ireland -18 v pacific islands
    South africa +4 v england
    France -9 v argentina

and if i had to pick three it would be

    oz,wales and ireland

could everyone please post theirs or comment on mine please
    cheers

On your picks, I would say Wales is the one to avoid. I would tentavely add SA, and I am personally lumping on Argentina if they really are + 9 against France.

I'd be wary of France -9. Argentina are on a high, ignoring the backroom rubbish they've been going through. France...well I know it was the All-Blacks, but I was very disappointed with their performances. They don't have an outhalf either. It could be close.

I have a feeling England will win again. They have the limited but long-kicking Andy Goode in, and while I don't class him as good enough for this stage he's up against a poor side. The Boks are lacking the core of their pack. At least White has dropped his preposterous selections in the BR somewhat by bringing in Floors. But he's a rookie and I expect England to come out on top up front. Both second rows for England look like good players, despite inexperience.

The Welsh game is very hard to call. Wales are nothing if not unpredictable and may well put more points on the All-Blacks than any other NH team...but how many will they leak? They're probably worth a punt at +20 but it really could go any way.

Got Wales at 10-1 and Argentina at 4-1 on betfair myself. Seemed worth a (small) gamble.

Wales at 10-1 is a little ambitious but I think Argentina have a very good chance of winning outright. They will make life hell for the French and the French will not show them the respect they deserve, only bad thing about France losing would be Laport possibly losing his job, would be better to see him in control leading up to the world cup.

Wales is a long shot alright but the NZ media are doing their best to get them as fired up as possible :)

I assume you mean bad for us when you talk about Laporte losing his job?

Could someone pass me a hat and some salt?

    :-)

In retrospect I think Australia at -7 was the bet of the weekend (at least).

For all their faults the Oz backs are still an accomplished outfit, and their forwards got a comfortable edge on their woeful Scottish counterparts who were missing their best player and captain. Scotland have nothing in the backs except a few worthy wingers.

Hard luck on the Argentina result though.

I did a 4 match accumulator with SA AUS IRE and ARG to win with the handicaps, it came in but all profits lost on Argentina outright win bet at 4-1. Ohh why couldn't they have gotten a drop goal at the end...
