...and fractionally terrified that Baby Anabelle is advertised as "Now With Real Tears!!"?

I mean, where are they getting these real tears from, are they harvesting them in great caverns underground, thousands of children forced to cry so that the toy companies maybe use their ill gotten tears in their products?!?!

I used to work in a toy shop and every now and then this crazy lady would come in to look at the dolls, she used to call them babies... She was quite the freak!
So being the new guy some of my mates sent me help her out she kept asking me "Arnt they all beautiful babies?" and "which is your favourite baby?" she was pretty intense and I couldnt stop laughing so I told her I was gonna get some help for the prices then ttried to walk away... she grabbed me by the arm and wouldnt let me go  I had to listen to this crap for about an hour!
    She stank!

    The end!

They make kids peel onions and sit on nails to get the tears. I saw the factory. It's in Cavan. True!

ROFFLES! Hail used to work at a Dolly Store?
Oh the things you learn in innocent threads!

Reminds me of a night out with friends.
One of my pals was attempting to score with a gal at the pub.
It was near Christmas and he asked if she bought any dolls for her daughter - cuz he works at a doll factory and if she bought one, chances are he'd packed it.

Well, you just don't say things like that when I'm near! For the rest of the night I was saying "Shame on you! You Dolly Packer You! I'm washing my niece's doll thoroughly now! Packing Dollies! Shame!"

I don't think he ever got that gal's number. Heh!

Yeah that is slightly worrying but I'd be more worried about what the manufacturers were thinking when they designed this toy:

    Mr. Rense,

Further to your posting today about the Harry Potter vibrating Nimbus 2000 broomstick toy for kids, here is info on another childrens' product, the FR-OOZE POP, that seems equally lewd and unhealthy:

(Apprently the child sucks on the pop until a point where the "goo" center is made available and it is squirted into the mouth with a squeeze to the base)

If she is awoken by a noise she cries real tears like a real baby.

Goods must be as described - the buyer must not be mislead into buying something by the description of goods or services given orally by a salesperson or an advertisement.

Then there is the whole kids putting food into the dolls and it rotting and maggots growing in it issue.

Amusing as I have found the suggestions above, I think that its the water that goes in via her bottle that comes out her eyes. As far as I know you'd have to turn the doll upside down to get the effect - which would make any real baby cry anyway :p so I guess it's realistic enough:confused:

I'm misty eyed having now seen the zapf website...oh how many days I spent as a five year old poring over that catalogue making wish lists for dolls only available in Norway or something.:(

Maybe you're joking, maybe not. I'll reply anyhoo.

In 1986 Tiny Tears was sold with exactly the same description. Where do you think the water comes from? Crying when woken up is easy done too - probably linked to her eyes opening when you hold her upright. I wouldn't analyse it too much, it's only a doll :D

can these tears be used as contact solution?

So you're basing this 2006 Baby Anabelle model on technology from 20 years ago? How do you know they havn't made giant advances in Doll tear duct technology!? and child tear harvesting techniques?

Also, you seem to be missing the point of The Cuckoo's Nest, if I may be so bold as to break the fourth wall.

i heard they make the babies watch this movie as a form of tear inducing torture

More likely the patent has just expired.

Rest assured it's just good wholesome natural and organic tears.

From what I heard there's a tribe in the Amazon rainforest specialising in tear production. They mix coconut milk with a special ancient recipe to make it clear. This is filtered through layers of igneous rock beneath the sea and comes up in the reception of the Zapf offices in a special fountain made from dolls heads!! This is where baby Annabell gets her tears from! It's the spell that they put on the coconuts that makes her cry in the first place!

Is that more like it? :D
