just a question. have you got some gas lined up? from another site? as you'll be well pissed if it comes in the post and you dont have any! ie; Scope.

you are also aware this uses 134a gas? sorry if you already knew. just making sure. anything else would destroy it.

I've never ordered from UNCompany. From someone who's bought hundreds of things online, It all seems spot on.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

iv ordered online before but never had to pay in this way, it was always by entering my card number on the site.
Yeah, i know it takes gas and i havn't got it ordered yet but i am going to get it ordered through predator hopefully as im going up there next weekend coz i didnt get to go last weekend. im actualy going to re-order the stuff without the mask as i have a half mask for motorbiking anyway so theres no point in geting that one.

paypal is brilliant. I wish every website in the world used it. maybe some day they will :D

feels a lot more secure then entering credit card details into a website.

anyway i wont pollute your thread with any more random posts.

good luck at pred. tell us all how it is when you come back :D

dont worry, i dont realy care about using my posts, im not that bothered if you wanna go off topic lol.

Hey Spitfire, all you have to do now is log into paypal and then click on the send money tab, you just enter the email address sales@uncompany.com and put the order number in the subject, you should also check who they are shipping the order with if they send it with DHL or TNT you could be in for some trouble

I'm waiting on delivery from them also. I got similar emails, so it all looks fine.

Just follow the instructions from N.O.I.P above. The postage method you chose is EMS which is HongKong post. It's not exactly fast, but there should be no problems with customs...apparantely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,121 ✭✭✭N.O.I.P.

Actually speed wise it was pretty good for my order. It was shipped on the 17th and arrived on the 22nd and you can track the order on Hongkongpost.com

thanks lads, and by the way, i take it using the money wire method is not recomended? seeing as the company isnt in ireland and would be hard to come back if anything went wrong?

Also can you use 3v credit card with paypal? I thought i could take money from my account in the bank but cant in ireland.

Not sure about wiring money...I've never done that before.

For Paypal, you can only use Mastercard, Visa & Amex. Just ring the Bank of Ireland and say the words "Credit card"....nothing more. By the next day they will have sent you 10 of them. :D

First of all they are removing the trademarks from your gun which you probably dont wany so tell them not to!

Yes a 3V card can be used with Paypal, just select the Visa option.

When paying with paypal use sales@uncompany.com as th payment address and please make sure when you are entering the amount to pay you select $$$ not €€€!!! Ok?

i chose the tape method of removing the trade marks as i thought that was just a bit of tape over the logos as apposed to the puty/glue stuff?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

well, placed the order bout half an hour ago, now just have to wait and see when the glock arrives. Hopefully it gets here soon.

The order actually goes through if you don't select either option. That way they don't remove the trademarks at all.

Ok here's the deal. i ordered from UN company last monday (the 20th). Everything went fine and as of last friday the aeg & everything else was in the country. Had been sent to customs for clearence. and is now in transit according to HongKong Post

    Date # Location Delivery Status
21-Nov-2006 Hong Kong Item posted and is being processed.
21-Nov-2006 Hong Kong Processed for departure.
    21-Nov-2006 Hong Kong Departed.
24-Nov-2006 Ireland Arrived and is being processed.
24-Nov-2006 Ireland Handed over to the Customs Office for clearance.
    24-Nov-2006 Ireland In transit.

And now here's the question: am I right to assume it has cleared customs and am i just being impatient seen as its only the 1st working day since it "cleared?"

Or grab the nearest postman/postwoman/postperson tomorrow morning and beat them until they tell you where your delivery is.

I've been to AnPoste.ie before but i wasn't sure how to track it? i'm a moron i know or perhaps just a lazy bastard. Anyways do you use the barcode option or the account & shipping date. if i don't get it by this time tomorrow or i don't find out where it is, I think i will take CrazyRabbits advice and threaten my postman, "hhmm if i only had an AEG to frighten him with" or i could just use the frynig pan. Its one of lifes little dilemas.:D

Just use the item tracking box on their homepage. It's on the bottom left of the screen. The item tracking number is the one from the shipping mail from uncompany. It's something like EC101209715IE

there's really no point trying to track it in Ireland unless its been delayed for ages. Sure the country is tiny ;) it's probably on your doorstep right now.

    WTF ?

22-Nov-2006 Hong Kong Item posted and is being processed.
22-Nov-2006 Hong Kong Processed for departure.
    22-Nov-2006 Hong Kong Departed.

28-Nov-2006 Ireland Arrived the delivery office and is being processed.
    28-Nov-2006 Ireland Unsuccessful delivery.

There was nothing to indicate anyone tried to deliver anything. Normally, they leave a notice advising to collect the package at the nearest post office or sorting office.

    AnPost website just says:
    Current Status
SENT OUT FOR DELIVERY 28 November 06

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,121 ✭✭✭N.O.I.P.

one of your neighbours probably stole your receipt and collected your gun in fact he is probably aiming it at you right now :D

Dont sweat it just go to the PO and ask them if they have any undelivered post for you, bring some ID just in case they ask who you are

:O that's very VERY tempting. But alas, i probably shouldnt. Already have to travel to Barrage in Meath on Sunday. will you be heading up any time again soon do you reckon?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

i dont know, this will be my first time going. im going to "see what its like" before investing more money. also getting to try out some guns to decide what one i wanna get.......first. im very tempted by the CA M15A4 SPC.

You might aswell, ya know ya want to.

oh have you not got an AEG yet? Renting one out at Predator? Even if you dont like skirmishing,(!) you'll still probably want to buy one anyway. They're so much fun its insane.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

no, none yet. im suposed to be getting a loan of all the kit for the day. i know i'll like it, its just which gun to buy first.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,598 ✭✭✭✭o1s1n

Its a hard decision alright. I went with a Famas purely because its a strong reliable gun, insanely cheap on ehobby compared to everything else and I needed an AEG soon :)

Couldnt exactly afford anything more expensive for the time being. Oh but as soon as a summer job comes around.....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

im not too keen on the feel of the famas, it seemeda bit plasticy or hollow to me. its the famas im getting a loan of for sat i think.

Yup i know what you mean. The top part under the carry handle is a bit on the hollow side. The foregrip is quite plasticy and has some creakyness to it. (although, this can be fixed to a certain degree with black electrical tape)
Its deff not a "for show" gun.

You instantly forget about it once you start firing though. I can imagine it being the last thing on my mind during a game. Extremely reliable too. Ive heard of a few people having a Famas in the boot of their car as a backup in case their fancy AEG goes on the fritz. not to mention the highest rate of fire of any Marui gun ;)

I'm not sure whether to hang onto it or not if i get a fancy gun this summer. I might just keep it as a backup

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

i know i wouldnt notice it in a game but i want to collect some guns too coz they look great. that was the reason i wanted the saw the other week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,598 ✭✭✭✭o1s1n

ah yes well i bought that purely out of practicality. The Mac 11 was purely on looks. It is most deffinatly not practical! looks amazing though

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

wouldnt be a bad gun for indoor games where you have rooms and hallways.

Although its a gas gun and the mp5 compact comes in aeg form so would be mor effective.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,598 ✭✭✭✭o1s1n

the fact that its gas means it hits a hell of a lot harder then an AEG. About 320fps i think. would not like to be on the receiving end of that in a CQB situation!

My mind still isnt made up on gas guns yet. the power and *real* factor is amazing. the constant refilling of gas is not. And then theres the whole cold weather problem. which id rather not think about!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

yeah, thats why i dont like the idea of getting a large gas gun.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,598 ✭✭✭✭o1s1n

I wouldnt mind a gas sniper actually. Its not like you'd have to constantly be filling it due to the lower number of shots fired. But yeah, talking about way more money there then I'm willing to spend :D

Sure my mac was only €145 in total. which is not a bad price for a fully auto sub machine gun

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

bolt action, or gas sniper is ok, but not for assault rifles.

Its quite rare to come across gas assault rifles. They have those horrible gas tanks on them like paintball guns *shudder*

Nope, they have a large outboard cannister that powers the gun through a tube that goes into the bottom of the pistol grip. There's a really old Marui ad where "Marui man" is taking on a load of guys with Gas AEGs. The final guy he fights is wearing a flame thrower type tank on his back to power the gun with gas. pretty funny actually, check it out here

1-Dec-2006 Ireland Arrived the delivery office and is being processed.
And on the An Post website it says its in tullamore "sent out for delivery"

Does this mean its on its way to my house and its NOT getting hit for customs? (mailing address is offaly)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

Hey, rang the sorting office in tullamore who said it was sent out with the postman for delivery. As im not at home in offaly and im in dublin i rang the local post office and they said they will hold onto it for me. now only problem is how do i get it before leaving for predator tomorrow when im in work at 2.

Its nearly worse it being there and i cant have it then not knowing where it is.

Try being in hospital when your first airsoft gun is delivered. People want to leave hospitals generally, but i was almost faking feeling better just to get home earlier. Obviously the nurses saw this a mile away
