....Anyone know what was going on?

Was just crossing Capel Bridge onto Parliament Street at lunch time today when policemen on motorbikes stopped all traffic and roared at pedestrians to keep off the road. Seconds later a convoy of about ten army trucks came steaming down the road, each carrying a large shipping container on the back. They were being ecsorted by a number of police bikes and unmarked cars.

Basically I'm just wondering if anyone knows what it was about or what was in the containers that made me five minutes late for work. Answers both serious and smart accepted.
