    Hello,

Does anyone play the $100 freezeout on GJP that are on Monday-Thursday. Thinking of joining tonight to play. Whats the standard, id imagine its pretty good, shortstack was saying they only get in the region of 25 and there is$3,500 Gauranteed. There are 20 mins blind levels which is good, is it normal starting stack i.e 2,000

    Cheers

Its a good game and if you didnt know already they do $10 feeders to it at 7.45pm that usually generate 3 tickets to the 10pm game. I like to try and win entry via these feeders.

The 10pm field is a mixed field more decent players than bad ones in the field and there are some good players who play regularly. Its not soft if thats what you mean, though some players like to gamble early so you can get lucky and be the benefactor of a donation. But for the most part chips are hard fought. Sometimes theres an overlay of a couple hundred$$ and the bounty bonus is a plus aswell.

It usually finishes around 1am. Best i came was 3rd twice.

As rounders said there standard is mixed. I have taken in down a few times (luckboxed it) It is a very long tourney for only 30ish players. Heads up Monday nite was 30 mins alone. 20min levels. There are a few pro/semi pro playing it each nite plus the few who qualify (like me) via the $10.

Thanks Lads, i think ill chance the $10 feeder first.

it's probably the best game (standardwise) you will play, 2k starting stack is right, 20 min levels are very good. (It's a BlueSq only game which includes GJP and Uncover)

The lads are right about the early gamblers - Nice if you pick up AA in the first few mins.

That game and the 200 F/O at 11pm are my favorities

    gl

Do you need to enter a bonus code when signing up to get the signup bonus etc or is it automatic. Ive pm'd shortstack but he might not get my pm until after i signup

You can enter the bonus code at anytime as far as I know. I entered mine a while after I signed up and it is still counting down!! Might give this a go myself some night. Looks like a good structure indeed.

    Spot on!

Good tourny, good structure and the overlay generally makes up for the good standard

Great tourney but the overlay margin is so small I wish people would stop spreading the word.

Only 24 runners so $1100 overlay is pretty good.

Yeah, are u flushdraw88 on this. How did you get on in the feeder (After you knocked me out;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,187 ✭✭✭Flushdraw

Yeah....I bubbled it. Just paid into the main game and the BB couldnt let go of his 53 despite a raise preflop, bet on the flop and the turn so i'm down to 1500

I don't recognise any of the players at your table which is a good sign!

Gholi has a tough enough table :)

you s.o.b's if i'd have known that i'd have bought in. Caught up playing a stt. This is the biggest overlay ive seen in ages.

    Whoops!
Whiteswan probably doesnt deserve the critisism because he's an enthusiastic new beginner. However you were getting involved a bit to frequently with less than good hands against players who were obviously not going to fold.

Agreed, you shouldnt really have been in the pot with A8 in that pot against trip tens.

Did a boardie win this? I gave Gholi most of my chips with a well timed bluff, well it was well timed for him:mad:

I usually wouldnt even limp with this but i was in the blinds so i got a cheap look. When i flopped the Ace there was a flush on the board if i remember correctly so i taught it was worth a bet, someone without an ace would probably fold here with the dangerous board unless they had the flush or in this case hit trips, i took another stab at it on the turn but when that was called i knew i was beaten and checked the river. It was a rebuy after all so i knew i would need to take chances and most of the people at my table were nearly double my stack. I didnt top-up which was probably a mistake too which left me shortstacked but i agree i could have played better. Taught i played the $100 tourney pretty well though IMO:) still learning all the time though
