GoW Play Asia - scrapland info needed

I presume there is no reason for me to open my Asian GoW from Play Asia to see if it works on my xbox and just stick it on ebay ?

No it doesn't - the US version is region free. By all accounts the Asian version isn't.

Play Asia have a few different versions afaik.

Region Free E.U version

They were in stock earlier.

But yeah the Asian version isnt region free

The Asian version, is the only one that's particularly cheap. Either way - the OP bought the Asian version. What's your point?

so as a sumary - asian version ISN'T region free and its time for it to go on ebay.

Did anyone else buy the asian version and try testing it ?

The pirate version of the asian release is region free. Did you test it?

Boards member "Scrapland" has the asian version from play asia, it works fine.

Don't know about the asian version but the European one is defo region free as I am playing it on my Japanese 360

Maybe he recieved a PAL copy. I've received at least 2 PAL games from Play-Asia when ordering region free games

I think I will wait for scrapland , he is the oracle on this matter it seems , my version is deffo asian , as its has writing I cant understand on it

The problem is that if its not usable on my machine I want to ebay it, its worth more sealed.

Oh that's naughty! Reminds me of when I was in college I used to buy cheap cds in freebird and bring them to hmv/virgin to swap for stuff I was into.

If that's true, then yes the Asian one is region free.

That's the edition I got, I think I paid about 32e + pp, so its not the special edition copy and its defo the asian version , as the text on the case is "asian" and so is 1/2 the instruction manual.
