I have an old pace box that has,nt been in use for a very long time, The system details show the operating system to be 1.2s4f1 and the epg software version is 3.2.11 If I just leave it plugged in and connected to lnb would it eventually upgrade to newer versions on its own, if so how long would this take or if I do manual download will the operating system version be updated along with the epg software.

Yep, it only takes 10 Min's or so to DIY and it's handy :)

Maybe it will update on it's own but you could be waiting for the next round of EPG/OS updates to be sent out. (However I'm not 100% on that)
