    So far I have:

    'Diam'
    'Vitabyte'
    and
    'Proxeus'

These are incredibly lame (except Proxeus. He'd be the coolest Transformer EVAH! :D)
and were generated in a random word generator thingy.

    help!

Haha!!! You must be screwed if you're asking the TCNers:D

I've got nothing, I'm not good with names:(

is this a serious question, as in you need a name for you business, or what would you call your business if you could name it whatever you wanted!!

there was a bar in my town that was named 'The Swinging Diddies' until the parish priest started a petition and they had to change it!!

It's a real business. It's the trading name really I guess you could say, so I can go wild as the ACTUAL business will be called something else. As long as it's not vulgar or in any way homo-sexual it should be fine

    what kinda business is it

    What's the business?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,175 ✭✭✭chamlis

It's a trading name. It really doesn't matter what the business is. Or who owns it.

I'd call it Optimus Prime if I wouldn't get the bollocks sued off me.
Exageration, but you get the idea.

well it should reflect what the business does....

Maybe you could call your company:

    Hugh Fearnley-Whittingsgall Ltd.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,934 ✭✭✭egan007

well if it does not matter to you why not call it xyz?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,175 ✭✭✭chamlis

    It's actually a partnership, so.....specific names wouldn't really work.

And I tried all that "take yer names and mix them around" ****. Crap.

EDIT: xyz Ltd. is crap. I want a COOL NAME

    Silent Assassin...

Yeah but that implies the business is a contract killing agency. Fair enough it sounds coolish, but I'm looking for something non-descript.

Take fexco for example. What the hell does that mean? Nothing! It's not a cool name, but you know, it works.

    'Xylenoid'
    'Conland' :D
    'Yeatage'
    'Tetium' (not bad...)
    'Scorpism'
    'Evilage'
    etc

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,838 ✭✭✭Doomspell

    I like Tetium

It will be online actually, but the website name/domain name are totally different to this trading name.

roflmao is pretty good actually :D
But it's hard to pronounce for someone who doesn't use teh internet as much as us

AFAIK you can't use common terms, as that would be genericide before you start.

SONY came up with a name and sued people who thought it meant something in some langague.

You could use YNOSTM, ha because I got here first, and I might be willing to sell for a purely nominal consideration.
