PC turning itself on from Hibernation

Title pretty much says it. Put my PC on hibernation last night only to have it turn on about an hour later by itself. It does this all the time when put on standby but I thought Hibernation would be different. Anyone any insight into this?

Do you have "Wake On LAN" turned on in the computer's BIOS?

DOn't know ... how do I find out?

Actually, might be worth checking your network card through device manager first.

Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Network Connections. Right-click on your active network connection and click on 'Properties'. Beside the 'Connect using' section there will be a 'Configure' button. Then click the 'Advanced' tab and look for "Wake on LAN", "WOL" or similar. Then change this to 'Off'.

    This should do the trick.

In some BIOS you can setup a wakeup time

it's also possible to setup the modem to wake up the PC, if you are still on dial up

Tried that Trant but didn't work. There isn't a 'wake on LAN' option tho there is a 'wake on ARP/PING' and 'wake on link change' and 'wake using apm mode'. I'm on broadband btw.
