Couldnt see this covered previously so was wondering if anyone had any advice about putting up outdoor christmas lights (not a massive display but we've no space for a tree except on our balcony).

How best to power them? Solar? Run a cable out a window (thus letting in all that cold air)? Can you get battery packs?

its easy really, most of the cable wire is really flexable so your window will close fully ha you should come visit my house at xmas i have almost 100 plugs mostly run out the windows to extension sockets but it looks really well at night and cant see the leads much by day.
