Ok so this game had the horrible misfortune of sharing a release date with GoW, but I got it anyway.

Now, I havent played a TH game since the 1sr Underground game, but I have to say I'm quite enjoying it.
    Anyone else playing?

Heard it's disapointing. Loved TH 2-4, but the two THUG games were very poor indeed. Apparantly the new one's a step in the right direction again.

It has Classic sections that are like the first four games.
The graphics are great too, also zero loading times is pretty rockin!

Hi, my name is Alnilam and I'm a hawk fanboy, I've been hooked on Hawk since I tried to learn how to skate in the eighties after many month's of pain and suffering scrapped knee's and the derision of my peers. I quit and my skating took on a spectator only perspective. Until the day I picked up a copy of THPS and a dream was realised...

I managed my first Kickflip :D

Since that day I've enjoyed all the versions of Hawk although the "underground" games should have stayed there imho. (I did play both a lot even still)

Now to the point of this long and wandering post ;) I bought project 8 and GoW together (so I have no life for the forseeable future) but since purchase on Sunday Project 8 has gotten the majority of game time

It's huge, it's got fantastic realism in the graphics and locations, there are no load times while skating the world, it provides the biggest challenge of any hawk game I have played. (I have only managed 1 sick goal so far, the underground games I had pretty much completed at the highest levels in the first 2 days)

It's accessible with a great tutorial to get total n00bs up and skating quickly.

The soundtrack is bang up to date while still retaining that "skate feel" with bands like Primus on the playlists.

To sum up, GoW isn't getting much of a look in, despite being a stunning game. I guess it's down to what you prefer... running round shooting and killing or chillin out and having a roll around the virtual world :)
