Emigration, Ireland, 80s!

    The majority of the academics of this decade were moving to other countries due to unemployment in Ireland. I am looking for photos and any other info (even writings of an interview with people who were emigrating or a video) I can get for a project relating to this topic. I'm not sure of the best sites.
    Can anybody help me out?

    ... yep I was one of them as were all of my mates ... we all moved to UK, Japan, US and other locations ... in 1989 having graduated from Kevin St ... it was our only decent option ... but I came home not too long later in 1992. Many of us came home but there are one or two still away running their own businesses in Japan ...

    I can help with personal anecdotes but not sure how interesting they are ... I may have some images but not sure if they will be any use ...
