I'm hoping for a good performance from United tonight, but i fear fergie may make more then the stated 2 changes, and completely unbalance the side. As long as Silvestre and O'Shea don't play, we should be ok, but if O'Shea plays midfield its gonna make things a lot harder. Hopefully he doesn't come in for Gary at RB either, Brown should play there if Gary doesn't start.

As for the other games, i'm going for:

    Lyon win.
    draw
    Benfica
    draw (celtic vs united)
    Arsenal
    CSKA
    Milan
    Lille.

I will be at Celtic Park tonight, hopefully we can get a result.

The United Celtic game will be a big one. A very tough one to call. United could run out 2 or 3 nil winners but Im gonna say Celtic because of the home crowd and the importance the game is for them.

    Celtic 2 - 1 Manchester United.

Wouldnt touch it with Bill Gates money though :D

Porto are beating CSKA at the moment so anything less than a win tonight for Arsenal could leave them on the edge of a UEFA cup-shaped precipice, which would be a disaster. But then again if that were to happen, at least there'd be the chance to do over Spurs.

I wouldn't say Porto will get the 3 points. In fact, I might put a couple of euro on CSKA at 11/1. :)

Can't believe everyone has gone for Milan. They've a few injuries and will rest a few. Their minds are now completely on the league while AEK will have their home crowd to spur them on. They're a decent team. I'd say a draw or AEK to win.

Oh god, if that's a 4-5-1 setup again I'll cry. Though it's rather impossible to tell.

It is a team of short-arses though, hopefully Hamburg can't do set pieces.

0-2 Porto. Impressive. Arsenal will surely have to win tonight and then probably get something in Porto as CSKA will be playing a Hamburg team with nothing but pride and money to play for.

Oh dear, I'm hoping Arsenal can actually manage to score tonight.

well bar evra, that more or less is the full united team, hopefully that is it. id settle for a draw tonight, however we can sneak this 1-0. ideally, united and celtic will both go through.

    Should have scored.

FFS its going to be another one of those nights for Arsenal !!! Seem to be devoid of any ideas tonight !!

The 4-5-1 is a ridiculous setup to play for matches like this. No goal threats at all. I can't understand why Wenger keeps persisting with it.

    HT: Celtic 0-0 Man Utd

Hard to make anything of that first half.
Celtic are too defensive, United have dominated possession thus far.
Scholes is running midfield, with Lennon and Graveson trying hard for Celtic.
Carrick is his usual anonymous self.
Ronaldo is just frustrating, although it must be said that Naylor is playing him very well, and is probably the best player on the pitch at the minute.

Lets hope the second half will produce a more open game.

John Carew is a big pacey animal of a player, he's causing Madrid all sorts of problems

Does this remind anyone of what people were saying about Alex Ferguson for the past few seasons?

    Celtic 0-0 Man Utd

Awful match, both teams are plying so poor with Celtic being nothing short of terribe. They have such a negative attitude. Paying Sno, Lennon and Graveson together just doesnt work. Sno and Lennon are so deep meaning that there is a huge gap between midfield and forwards giving Celtic no chance and keeping the ball. There passing has been terrible though and they just keep giving it away. Just terrible stuff.

Nothing new there. What is up with the formation? They should be tearing into Celtic with the usual 4-4-2 that they use every week. Fergie listens to Ronaldos da waaay too much. Better change in the second half or Im turning over to Real v Lyon.

Hurray!! Fergie has changed back to the 4-4-2 with Rooney down the middle as usual. About time.
