    Lads,

Will this TV (http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=319634) work with a premium 360 straight out of the box or do i need to buy any cables to allow me to use HD.

    Cheers

It's got component inputs on it. So you should be fine.

I have that exact model. It works a treat for the 360.

Disregard the scart adaptor, set the 360 video cable to HD and insert the five component plugs into the back of the tv.

You will from the moment you turn it on, even the dashboard looks impressive. Very sharp and vibrant.

Everything looks great on it especially Gears of War.

    I'm using:

    Movie Mode:
    Contrast 72
    Brightness 80
    Sharpness 30
    Colour 53
    Colour tone normal
    Digital NR off
    Game mode off

Anything around them I find looks best but you will need to adjust them as you like them and according to your lighting conditions. 32" version has a higher contrast and is brighter so these settings might look off on your screen.

I use an older Samsung 32" Model as my Monitor quite a lot, What I found is that through the VGA Port the quality is easily the match of most LCD's BUT using a DVI to HDMI converter and Cable gave the PC a much better on screen image once I'd setup a wee bit of underscan on the video driver so it all fitted on-screen OK.

One thing I would say though it's still not as sharp as the 360 through the 5-way component connector thing. I run MCE on the PC as well but it's noticeably better looking when using the 360 extender ;)

My video card is using a dvi connector, if i get a converter for DVI to VGA im hoping it will work without too much hassle.

Maybe ill get one of the DVI to HDMI converters, where can you pick one up and are they expensive?

Would it be worth the bother to setup my current monitor as part of a dual monitor setup with the samsung?

Would i encounter any problems if i was to have the 360 and the PC both connected at the same time (But obviously only one powered up), or would i have to switch cables every time?

    Cheers

    :D

No problems at all. I'm using mine through VGA but you can get DVI - HDMI cables in most electrical shops, won't be to expensive.

If you are using component for the 360 and VGA for the PC there's no switching involved.
