Does anybody here have experience of these guys? I am just wondering if they allow bittorrent traffic over their network.

    Sponge Bob,

I dont think your comments are justified. We are a professional company operation within our limits and to the best of our ability unlike Permanet who at present are getting their knuckles wrapped by Comreg for non compliance. We have every right to comment on any thread posted on this website.

We would invite you to make yourself known to us instead of posting silly anonymous remarks and we will furnish you with any relevant documentation to might require to stop your poisionous remarks.

    KBB

Hello KBB, I have done that on several occasions and left several voicemails but have not got any reply so far, except for the colleague of yours who rang me a week ago to tell me KBB had a transmitter in my region and he was going to get the engineer to call out to me but that was a week ago exactly and since then I have emailed and phoned several times to no avail. You colleague told he would be in touch with me again very soon, so I waited until the end of last week to phone and email again... To be very honest, it has always been like this with KBB, anytime I phone nobody answers the phone and nobody gets back to me. I was very surprised that your colleague phoned me at all and i thought my luck had changed but somehow I feel as thought KBB does not want to increase the amount of clients they have - and I am not alone in thinking this. I simply do not understand, its not logical. Even if it was physically impossible for KBB to provide me with a service, would it not be natural for you or any of your colleagues to contact me and apologise for the delay in replying etc and explain???

    Hello,
We have requested that you send an email to us in a previous post.
As you have chosen to use a public forum, we are unable to discuss this matter with you any further.
Should you wish to discuss this in a business like manner, we would appreciate that you send us an email and we will be more than happy to discuss any queries you might have.

KBB, as you know, I have sent you a private message last week, which you ignored. I equally sent your colleagues at KBB several emails and voicemails. If there is anyone here who is not behaving business like, as you say, that is KBB, not I.
Why should I bother emailing KBB once more when KBB ignores all my emails?
I have no further comments and I rest my case.
    Kind regards.

This is a ridiculously unprofessional response especially given that he said he has emailed and rang multiple times.

Just to add. Over Christmas I contacted KBB, Rural Broadband and Ivertec Broadband through their website's. Got no reply from KBB. Also tried contacting KBB a year ago and got nothing back.

I see that KBB has retracted their comments because they realised they put their foot in it as so many people reacted to their appalling customer service manners. In the meantime, I have received a very unpleasant phone-call from Paul in KBB just now THREATENING me with legal action. They have also said that they would contact my employer, which I found extremely vindictive. If this is the way KBB treats their customers, then I am very happy I have not become one of them.
Of course, when Paul rang me, I knew it was KBB because I had the number stored on my phone, but I still answered it. Also, to mention that Paul put down the phone on me as I defended my point of view, and I know that if I ring them, they will not answer the phone as they never do, so I have no way of actually talking to KBB again even if I wanted.
I am not afraid if KBB contacts my employer as I have never mentioned my employer in any public forum, I did however mention where I worked to KBB in a PRIVATE MESSAGE to make it easier for them to contact me, but I learned that guys should be careful with what you say to KBB even in private! I am equally not afraid they will get their solicitors to contact me just because I dared ask a question, which they never bothered replying until now when they realised it is not only I who has reasons to complain, but a lot more people, as can be seen from this whole thread that started in 2006!!!

They seem like a sound bunch of lads.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with them, that's for sure. They make UPC/Eircom customer service seem top class.

Yes, when I saw their number ringing me, I thought they wanted to apologise or try and remedy the situation in a civilised way, instead Paul engaged in argument in a very rude manner and dished out the threats above outlined should I not retract my comments on this forum.

My friends tell me I should contact ComReg immediately and try and get through to KBB's management as well, but I really cannot see the point in wasting more energy with this laughable, ridiculous incident. So, unlike Kerry Broadband, I rather take a positive attitude towards it.

People here have seen KBB's reply and that is the best way to describe how they treat their (prospective) customers, so after experiencing their customer service first hand, I certainly no longer want to be their customer!
