On behalf of a friend - who should be contacted if you want to arrange transition-year work experience in a science lab in college? And (he's fairly open about the branch of science) what might be most interesting?

Thanks - I had an idea sooner might be better! Presume they don't take random stragglers during the year - I suppose they'd want to be mad...

I did work experience in physiology department in Trinity college a few years back. It was really good cause it gave me a real taste of what college was like....the atmosphere, students etc.

I got in contact with one of the Professors in the Physiology department. They are quite receptive to students who are considering doing their course. I would suggest either you email one or better still call them.

    Good Luck

Thanks very much for that - I will go direct to the top then, and try the heads of department - physiology as well. This has been a great help - being an arts end type, I've never so much as set foot in a lab.

I could do with a slave. Oops, I'd be happy to have someone do my donkey work down here. A hardworking mute need apply. Preferably one without any papers or records of their existance so I can laser the ****ers if they screw up me equipment.
