    Thinking of getting one ot these.
    came accross this one on ebay looks a good price plus a Infrared Remote Control as well.

    My only concern is that i don't think it's a genuine canon one. would that make much of a difference, would it damage my camera if it isn't a genuine canon one.

    Ewe it sure is not canon anyway looks even more dodgy than the real one IMO

    There is no good reason why it would damage your cam but the only thing I can say is iI it dose canon will void the warranty as it was damaged by a 3rd party gizmo.

    If you can find an Opteka one instead go for that.
