    Ok,

I will start this as I believe there are probably going to be some enquiries about this, so I think a seperate thread is needed to prevent repitition and/or clogging of other threads realted to the events themselves.

As I'm sure we are all aware the GJP festival is on this weekend with Events on Fri/Sat & Sun. There will probably be people looking for lifts in at least one drection or the other (lifts back might be trickier to arrange). If people are going and can offer a lift or else need a lift then post here. I will start the ball rolling.

    Going : Friday
From : Dublin - Heuston Station area.
    Time : 5.30ish
    Offering a lift.

If anyone wants a lift from there at that time then PM me. Someone who knows where the tournament is exactly would be a great help to me as someone who has never been in Drogheda before.

    Directions for Boyne Valley Hotel:

    From Dublin:

Take the M1 north. Just after you see a sign saying "Toll 8km" there is an exit signposted Drogheda South and Julianstown. Take this exit, it is a straight road to Drogheda, you will pass the Europa Hotel on your left and The Boyne Valley is approximately 300 yds further on the right. If you reach the Black Bull Pub then you have gone too far.

    From the North:

Exit the M1 at the Slane Junction. At the first roundabout take the left for Drogheda. Go straight over the next mini roundabout and turn right at the one after that. You are now on the road into Drogheda, stay on it all the way through the town and keep going until you see the Black Bull pub on your left. The Boyne Valley Hotel is a couple of hundred yards further on on your left.

    Hi Dom,

Congrats again on the great finish, unlucky not to have won it by the sounds of it.....Maybe you will catch a hand or two in Drogheda.

I'm offering a lift from Santry, Dublin 9 on the Friday......Leaving at 18:45. I know the Boyne Valley so no worries there.

    PM or email on stephen[at]pokerireland.ie

I advise everyone to stay home for this as I am going to win it.

I have just employed a new spiritual guide who has me to the point that i am now unlikely to blow up, also I just bought a live goat and sheep to sacrafice on thursday night just to be sure.

Are you going to drink the blood from the dead animals? In the sort of form for animal sacrifice at the minute myself (i reckon it will get me into less trouble than Dealer sacrifice in the long run).

How much you pay for the goat btw?

I think you should see a doctor mate and give this game a miss, what ever happen to your retirement plans? lol

If everyone stays at home I have absolutely no doubt that you will win it.......But unlikely to blow up? Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to just to make yourself unlikely to blow up.

Anyone know the setup, how many levels will be played on Day 1 (Friday)??? And what time does play start at on the Saturday. I know that I should just look up the web-site for this info but I'm too lazy.

Shouldn't it be a residence bar?

Lol....Cheers Lloyd....I couldn't figure out how to put a picture of a fish up there so Otto will have to do.

Lets hope it rains between now and the weekend......If Saturday's match goes ahead Grosvenor Lane might be in a little bit of trouble if both their keeper and their reserve make it through to Day 2 in this tournament.

Not to mention the fact that half of the rest of the team will also be playing/dealing at it.

Go on the Lane. We won't be letting them down if it rains all week......

Indeed. If the game is rained off it will be ideal. The heart and soul of the entire operation (me) will definately not be playing. I cannot see how victory would be possible without my prescence.
