Don't book Ryanair would me my first piece of advice as the airport is pretty far from Eurodisney.

Do you want/need to see Paris at all?

we went october 2004 and booked it all through abbey travel, and they included a bus from the airport to the hotel. we stayed in the sante fe hotel and there are shuttle buses to the parks every 10 mins or so. I think feb/ march is the cheapest time to go and they usually give u a night free then.

Okay, I've been there twice and have a few recommendations. First off I would recommend going for 3 nights leaving you with one full day per park.

Flight wise, as said go with Aer Lingus as you don't want the extra grief of getting to EuroDisney from where Ryanair leave you. Current prices for Jan 2007 are around €100 on certain days, but you can pick and choose whats best for you.

The Holiday Inn would be my recommedation for accomadation. It is very cheap at €76 per room per night for all four of you (bunk beds for the kids) and is a great hotel at that price, but very high spec. Hotel Website

Lastly, and this is a personal choice, you could hire a car for the few days. Current costs from www.argusrentals.com are about €95 for 3 days for an Opel Corsa or €105 for a Ford Focus. What this allows you to do is to arrive on a late flight say on a Friday and then head home on a late flight on Monday therefore only been charged 3 days for car rental, but the beauty of this is that you can head into Paris for the whole of Monday seeing the sites before you head home. Without the hire car it may not be as easy to do Eurodisney and Paris, but this way its a breeze.

mike, 2 days IMHO is plenty of time to see Eurodisney (both parks) and hardly anytime to see Paris :)

I would suggest that you spend a few extra €€€ and fly into CDG rather than Beauvais as it'll save you a LOT of hassle/time when you arrive in France, but if you do fly with Ryanair then avoid going to Paris and hire the shuttle to take you directly to the parks.

For public transportation from PARIS-Beauvais (BVA) to DisneyLand Paris (they NEVER refer to it as 'EuroDisney) you must first take the Beauvais Shuttle to its terminus near Port Maillot in Paris. You must then walk down to the PORTE MAILLOT Metro station and take the #1 Metro ligne (heading in the direction of Chateau Vincennes) two stops to the ÉTOILE-CHARLES deGAULLE station and switch to the RER 'A-4' ligne train (heading in the direction of Marne La Vallee-Chessy--and train with a '..Q xxx..' name on the front) to the end-of-the-ligne at MARNE La VALLEE-CHESSY station. From here to your DLP hotel.

    BVA Shuttle to Porte Maillot--14 € each--approx 70-75 mins.
    #1 Metro & RER 'A-4' trains--6,20 € Adult/3,10 € Child (under 11 yrs)--approx 60-70 mins.

Your best bet, considering you've got family may be to pre-arrange a rental car for pick-up and return at PARIS-Beauvais Airport (75miles) or even a shuttle service to the park.

    Hi,

I brought my son last May. I booked Aer lingus on recommendation. Just outside the terminal is a bus stop where you can catch a coach that will take you direct to Disneyland Paris. I booked the Holiday Inn online. Saved myself a packet doing it solo instead of going through a travel company. You can buy the Disney passes at the Holiday Inn at reception. I would totally recommend the Holiday Inn - lovely and clean but dont have dinner there!! It was awful but the breakfast is ok! Outside the hotel is a shuttle bus that comes every ten mins or so and brings you direct to the park. The Holiday Inn is so cheap and the rooms are really nice - circus themed. I booked the cheapest rate which was just for accomodation - no breakfast. We had breakfast every morning and when we checked out they did not charge us for breakfast!!! Of course I was willing to pay for the breakfast if they mentioned it and did not check the bill til I got on the coach to the airport.;) The hotel has a pool too which my son enjoyed in the evenings. I would also recommend you get an early flight out to Paris as the coach ride to the hotels can take an hour or so and you can hit the park later that afternoon. Get an evening flight home if you can. Thats the cheap way to do it. I did think to myself though that it would have been nice to stay at the Disneyland hotel as thats onsite and in the heart of things but I just could not justify the price! Hope this helps and fire away with any questions

I went to Disneyland Paris a few years ago with all the family and a few friends. I would recommend staying at one of the hotels in the resort, shuttle bus in and out every 10 minutes makes life very easy. Also if you spend the day and most of the evening going to the parks you and any youngsters may be quite tired so a trip into Paris in the evenng might be a bit too much especially for the kids.
The one thing I would say is if you do go via Ryanair and Beuvais airport, the trip on the metro is quite an experience.
Always, always keep a close eye on your personal belongings, especially handbags, wallets, haversacksetc as the train that runs from paris to disneyland is full of pickpockets ( speaking from experience here).
We had a gang of 5/6 teenagers try to pickpocket us as a group. They got 1 guys wallet before we realised what was happening, lets just say they got a few slaps when we realised what was going on ,but not before one of them got away with a good few quid.
Also be careful on the shuttle bus as they are known to be active there too.

That said apart for the one bad experience with the thieves, the rest of the place was fantastic. An absolute ball was had by us all,the children loved it, and the adults even more.

I took the family 2 ad + 2 boys aged 10 and 8 last December and again in May. Both times we went with Aer Lingus (got flights including taxes for €249 total for the 4 of us in May) to CDG. We stayed in the Holiday Inn and were very happy with it. Shuttle bus goes every 10 mins. If you don't want to eat in the restaurant in the evening they have a lounge area where you can get pizzas and other lighter options.

When we went in May we did a day coach tour of Paris (the hotels can organise this) which included going on a boat trip, up one level of the Eiffel Tower (you need a few hours for that due to long queues). The boys didn't like the tour and found it boring. I think it's a waste for children. Maybe the evening coach tour would be a better option.

When we went in December we bought annual passes which are good value if you plan on going back within a year.

The holiday INN he stayed in isn't in Paris which is maybe why you can't find it.

Eurodisney is 40 minutes from Paris by train.

Once you get into the park, remember to use the fastpass system to avoid the queues. You walk to the ride of your choice, put your entry ticket into the FastPass machine, and it'll give you a new ticket especially for that ride at a fixed time (usually with a 15 minutes range e.g. 4:00pm-4:15pm).
When you turn up at the required time you'll save yourself a LOT of time.

Last month there was a 90 minute wait for the Peter Pan ride. That's a lot of time to lose standing in line, while the FastPass line took about 10 minutes once we got in it.

So go in, take a look at the map, and decide what you want to go on, go directly to those rides first to get your fastpass tickets and then take your time to wander around... :)

It almost turns into a military operation at times!! We did the same - for instance when we got to the park one morning we went straight to Space mountain and got our fast pass ticket, then over to Buzz lightyear and got the fast pass there. Then we went on other rides which did not have huge queques!!! Its best to get there first thing in the morning as the queques are not as long.

There is alot of fast food around the park so I used to pack a bag from the breakfast buffet ie: yogurts, bread rolls with ham and cheese etc etc. Other people were doing it too!!! With 8 it may be worth your while.

might be a good idea, I have 3 hungry teenagers going so that would save me a fortune thanks

Pack some food bags to put the food from breakfast buffet in. You can leave a rucksack in the locker room at the entrance to the parks so you don't have to carry it around all day.

If you're going to eat in the Disney Village at the end of the day book a table earlier on in the day otherwise you may have to queue for ages just to get a table. 1.5 hour queues are quiet common as most people are leaving around the same time.

The restaurant at the Pirates of the Carribeen is nice and you can watch those in the boats go past.

We went with Aer Lingus (2 + 3) and stayed in the Kyriad which is on the shuttle bus route to/from the Park. The shuttles get busy at peak times (as expected). We got the TGV from The airport to Marne-la-Vallee (8 minutes but a bit of a trip to get to it) and got the airport bus back from the hotel. This got very full but the Kyriad is at the start of the run so we were fine.

We spent 1 day in the Park and 1 day around Paris. Use fastpass wherever you cna in the Park - it makes a big difference.

    Hi,

There is a shuttle bus that you can take from CDG to Disneyland. It can take about an hour, but will depend on traffic. It will bring you to the outside of the Marne La Vallee Chessy train station. From that stop you have to take another free shuttle bus to the Holiday Inn - I believe its the no 54 - its about 10 mins to the hotel. I cant remember how much the tickets were but you can purchase them at the hotel reception. You can email the Holiday Inn and they will tell you how much the tickets will cost or go into the main Disneyland paris website and you can find out there.
