Anyone here on boards have one of these systems in place I'm spending a fortune on ink over here. Last time I got a set of refils it cost 110Euro and that was with a discount.

    Thanks

    Seb.

I have one of those too and yep they go through cartridges at an awful rate, luckily I only use it once every 3-4 months though. Last time I needed refills at short notice I had to get them locally in conns and I cant remember the exact cost but it was round the €100 mark for the lot.

Just spent 89Euro on a Ink flow system I found on ebay lets see how it fairs out if it pays off I will be spitting out prints at 90% less cost than canon refils.

Can you let us know how you get on with the CIS thing?
I have been looking at these for a while.
    Thanks

Hmmm, never heard of these before. One thing I'm a bit confused about though is where does the plastic thingamajig with all the ink actually sit? There doesn't appear to be enough room inside the printer, so does it sit outside? If so, how do you stop the ink supply tubes from getting squashed when you close the cover of the printer?

It sits outside the printer Alun, preferably in a drip tray
Lyson do a similar and much acclaimed system, I have a funny feeling that it would cost a little more though.

RE Lyson, about 250 sterling including the inks.
Makes the ebay option very appealing.
