    hey guys, thanks for the comment :). Yes this is indeed my D200 so i won't be giving any darkroom lessons i'm afraid. That said, if you know anyone that is willing to give darkroom lessons i'd be interested.
    @Paudie, the border is just created by increasing the height of the canvas in photoshop. Spanks again for the comments.
