No 10 after 10 for UCD?

    Hi,

    This was just brought up on the UCD board, and someone suggested posting it here. Now, apparently the reason behind not having the 10 on campus after 10pm is because there was some sort of riot a few weeks ago? I'd really love to know what exactly happened. Quite a few of my friends are really disturbed by the lack of buses to the actual terminus because of how badly lit the walk from the Stillorgan gate to the 10 terminus is in UCD, making it dangerous, particularly for someone walking on their own. (There are reasons why parts of UCD have the moniker of Rape Lane.)

    Does anyone know why we no longer have a bus coming to the terminus after 10pm, and also does this apply to other buses like the 17, the 2 and the 3? I'd be really grateful for some information, because frankly it's starting to freak me out a little. I never thought of UCD as a dangerous place before, and if the bus service is refusing to go there, then that changes things significantly if it's for safety reasons.

    The best thing to do is ring Phibsboro Garage, they operate the 10. This is there number 01-7033462. The 2/3/17 are operated from Donnybrook so perhaps they would have more information on wheter or not these routes still serve UCD.

    Could you not try for the 11B or does that not operate after 10?
