I've always been interested in planes, anything that can fly really. I've made loads of airfix models even have a mig helmet. But ive always wanted to join the air corps. Is there any chance of me actually getting in. I'm still in secondary school but this is something i've always wanted to do. I do higher level in all subjects except Irish im pretty clever and fit for my age, I do loads of sports and go mountain biking for hours every week. But the main question is is it possible to get into the air corps without having connections?

    Cheers Liamo.

EDIT: changed air force to air cops

He can be in the AC and not be a pilot. Eyesight just needs to be decent to be an avionics tech.

    You want the Cadetship.
And its the Air Corps in Ireland not the Air Force
You'll want to study the history and curreny equipment anf organisation of the Air Corp.

That is gone out the window. I know guys whit "connections" who just cant get in dont be worrying about that silly notion and just go for it they dont care who you know they want you because you fit the criteria.
